Wind Advisory is not a protest anthem in the usual sense. There's no rally cry here, no instructions, no five point plan. It's a field report from the porch, the kind a person gives after they've watched the blue polos line up outside the courthouse one too many times and noticed the faces underneath the masks keep changing while the message stays the same. It's about the oldest form of defense there is, which has nothing to do with a rifle and everything to do with knowing who lives three doors down and whether they'll open that door when it matters.

Why a Song About Knowing Your Neighbors?
Because intimidation only works when it's allowed to work in isolation. That's not a political theory, it's a tactic as old as occupation itself. Cover the faces, coordinate the show of force, count on the fact that nobody on the block will compare notes before the vans pull away. In the military we called that severing lines of communication. Out here they just call it a Tuesday.
The fix isn't complicated and it never has been. It's a phone number saved before you need it. It's a porch light left on. It's the person two doors down knowing you'll pick up when they call, and you knowing the same about them. No crown gets a free pass because the neighborhood agreed in advance not to notice. No bully gets his way in a block that actually talks to itself.
This is the part of the fight that never makes the highlight reel, and it's also the only part that scales. Every authoritarian project in history has needed a quiet, well behaved population to succeed. Ours is betting the same. We'd rather bet against it.
