The events in Minneapolis today remind us that freedom is never self-sustaining — it depends on the vigilance and courage of the people. When agents of authority cross the line from protection to oppression, every citizen must pause and remember the spirit that gave birth to our nation in 1776. Liberty demands watchfulness, accountability, and the unwavering resolve to resist tyranny in all its forms, foreign or domestic. The Founders did not surrender their rights to silence or fear; neither can we. The American promise endures only when the people stand guard over it — with clear minds, firm hearts, and a love of country that refuses to bow to unchecked power.
