We have a longer fight ahead than we think

The fight doesn't end with Trump, my friends. This fight goes much deeper than just getting him out, or winning the midterms, or winning the presidency in 2028. The machine behind maga will not go away. The terrible people behind it will not go away. And the terrible people who blindly voted for it won't go away, either. 

They aren't just gonna go back to being closet racists and homophobes. No, no it's too late for that. The mask is off and they can't just go back to how it was before. The oligarchs who enabled this won't just wither away into anonymity, either. They've invested too much and have become too entrenched in this attempt to turn America into a tech feudal state. And the politicians who are too used to the power they wield, will not give it up easily, regardless of which side of the aisle they occupy. 

For too long this country has been in a tailspin that has allowed crushing wealth inequality that rivals the levels seen prior to the French Revolution, a health care system that prioritizes profits over people and is responsible for thousands of deaths a year due to callous denials of care, a massive homelessness issue despite there being enough vacant homes to house these people, and millions of people across the richest nation is the world suffering from food insecurity. All while the federal minimum wage is still 7.50 despite record profits for CEOs in America.

All of this is ignoring the fact that while the Founding Fathers had some really really great ideas, they weren't exactly thinking about everyone in america when they made the Declaration of Independence and later the constitution of the United States. Those groups of people had to fight for their equal rights throughout the history of America. And none of those fights were ever truly finished, because capitalism always finds a way to give people crumbs and teach em to be happy about it. 

So when I say this fight doesn't end with Trump, it's because the fight started long before Trump. And Americans forgot about that fight. We've gotten comfortable, and lazy. Some of us have also become quite dumb. The oligarchs, and psychopathic fascists see that. And the machine they've been building for decades to seize this very moment will not be dismantled with Trump alone. No, we must not stop with him. Elon, and Thiel must pay for their crimes, too. Bezos, Zuckerberg and any other rich scumbag who not only enabled this but seeks to benefit from it must pay too. And any rich asshole who stayed silent and kept profiting off the backs of the people must pay for their complicity. Any part of the machine that enabled this moment from America to the middle east to Africa and beyond must pay the price of their betrayal. No matter who it is, politicians, business people and even regular citizens who collaborated. We the people must make them pay the price of their betrayal of humanity and crimes committed against the human race. What form that takes isn't for me to answer. 

But I do know once that's completed, then the real work starts. We can't return to the status quo. Your neighbors and the people who didn't collaborate, but supported this or were silent, won't just disappear. The system won't just fix itself. The damage done won't just self heal. We have to stay active as citizens in our democracy. We have to stay active as humans in our world. We have to do the work to fix what has always been broken. By doing this, it will become almost impossible for evil people to rise up across the world and wreak havoc upon the planet.
