Humanitarian Government An Urgent Issue, A Urgent Response Requested

We have an issue in the US. A huge issue. Calls for violence toward those who do not think, behave, or act the same. Especially in Politics. This is a discussion of recent event.

Humanitarian Government An Urgent Issue, A Urgent Response Requested

Now, I'll be 100% transparent: as a voter, as a citizen, and as a state member I'm fully affected by most of what I'll write about today.

No, this isn't my typical Humanitarian Government entry. This isn't even exactly opinion either. It's facts, it's a finger-point and name saying piece, and I'm mad.

A few days ago, Senator Mark Kelly, who is a 29 year retired Navy Captain and former Astronaut, was called out by the occupant of the White House as being seditious along with five other former military and intelligence officers.

Now, let me make sure you're on the same page as I am, it's something I normally do. Sedition is:

  • Conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of a state
  • Insurrection; rebellion
  • The raising of commotion in a state, not amounting to insurrection; conduct tending to treason, but without an overt act; excitement of discontent against the government, or resistance to lawful authority.

In today's world, most of us could be called seditious: even criticizing the government in this environment and pushed thinking could be considered that. But is it really? Also, I'm not going to go into law on this: at least not UCMJ and Federal law about behaviors related to reminding Service Members of their Oath of Enlistment. I could, but since I'm not JAG, I won't know the nuances and that's what's needed in this case.

But for one, if it came to you and me complaining about the government, suggesting changes, and all that isn't sedition: it's called Freedom of Speech. We don't have a specified Freedom of Thought, but I would say it's implied in the Freedom of Speech. Even running for office, suggesting changes and all that? What does that do? It excites thinking or behaviors that include discontent against the government and sometimes creates resistance to the government.

One example would be the long-time issue of militias. Are they all armed anarchists? No, in fact many aren't anarchist. Armed? Most assuredly, though. But do they have agendas that run counter to government? Mostly.

Put a pin into that previous paragraph and let me get back to the calls for violence and sedition punishments by the occupant of the White House.

Now, I'm pointing fingers, and the occupant of the White House I have zero respect for, that's why I do not use honorifics, term numbers, name...I even hate 'occupant of the White House' but what I normally use for a name of that occupant isn't profane, but disrespecting a favorite fruit of mine.

That occupant says sedition is punishable by death. I call that a call for violence, something that he and his party says they don't do. That they are the party of law and order, they do not perform or say violent rhetoric and all that BS. It is BS: we've studies that have been taken down about the amount of violence perpetrated by the right and a whole host of groups. When you outnumber even Muslim Extremists, you've got a problem. The Right has that problem. I'll give you a set of numbers: Out of 620 cases of politically motivated murders since 1975 only 9 were performed by 'unknown/other'. Four for separatists, eight by foreign nationalism members.

Gee, and we're quaking in our boots and saying terrorist are coming over the border in droves?

The next sized group is those that are considered 'from the left': 65. That's it. We're now up to 86 cases out of 620, remember that.

Now I'm going to hear screaming from those of you who are on the 'right': Republicans, MAGA, Conservatives and Christo-Nationalists: Islamic violence counts for just 143 incidents. 'Just', of course, is a relative word: my views is if we can't talk about our problems as a species, we've big issues and need to grow up.

So, we've accounted for 229 now.

The rest? That's 391 incidents by right-leaning individuals or groups. This is also why this report was taken down off the FBI/DoJ/government site. The very thing that happens and was researched by groups that have no political leanings within their jobs did the work. Do they have leanings outside? Yes. But like lawyers: when on the job, they are blind to politics. Or should be.

This study also doesn't contain any of the violence we've had this year alone.

But the occupants call for violence isn't just affecting the Congress. No, those who follow the MAGA party line and spout off on podcasts are getting emboldened.

The occupant has also called upon the State of Colorado since damn near the beginning of his regime (not administration, authoritarian leaders don't run administrations) of the release of a woman named Tina Peters.

Now Tina Peters was a County Clerk in Mesa County. She's also the first that faced criminal charges related to the 2020 election and is an election denier. Essentially, she allowed data to be accessed by unauthorized people who are/were supporters of the Oval Office occupant.

There was hard proof of her actions. She was investigated, charged, tried and convicted by a jury of her peers. In short: due process was observed. This was on State-level charges, by the way, not federal.

She's served about a year of her sentence as of this writing, and mind you: she is an older woman. Mark that wording, please.

The Oval Office occupant recently called on Governor Polis to commute or pardon her conviction and actions. That didn't happen, shouldn't happen, and that occupant shouldn't involve himself into State issues or legal matters and certainly not if he wants to claim he's wanting to be law supporting. I won't go into other areas, but even though I'm not a lawyer, I could probably walk into a court of law with the information publicly available and get a decision of 'Yes, he doesn't support or follow the law'.

More recently, within the last two weeks, that occupant has demanded via two pathways for Ms. Peters (or missus, I don't want to get into her personal life) to be transferred from a State prison to a Federal prison. Supposedly by his thinking, it would be safer for her. Being that she's been in for about a year, and that anyone in the prison system runs the risk of various behaviors not conducive for a lack of injury or worse, I'm not in the viewpoint that she would fare any better than any other person on either tier.

Yet, the pressure and push has been ignored and she's not been transferred. Besides, there are guardrails about the interactions of State and Federal legalities, not to mention there is supposed to be very little or no rewarding of behaviors conducive for supporting any given action that would be considered supporting one outcome over another, especially for County Clerks. The Federal level can't get involved in State legal matters.

This is because in Colorado, County Clerks also act as the election overseers, supposed to be non-partisan in the actions and duties of their job, and also know what the election standard operational procedures are to include the laws governing elections. That includes data security.

Now, how does the call for violence for Senator Kelly affect Tina Peters situation?

Simple: an infection...a viral disease of transferring one call of violence to inspire other calls of violence.

There is a podcaster called Joe Oltmann. He's a far-right/MAGA supporter and also an ally of Tina Peters. See a little bit of a pattern emerging?

Now, Mr. Oltmann can be a supporter or ally of whomever he wants, that I shouldn't or can't stop. It's part of that Freedom of Speech thing that can be a real pain in the ass at times. However, I respect that Freedom.

But lines are crossed when you have recorded proof, publicly broadcasted in any form, calls for violence or execution/assassination of public officials. I don't give a crap what affiliation you're with, I also don't give a crap if you agree with me or not. We can agree to disagree or sit down, hash out solutions to whatever issue and be grown-ups. I will say Mr. Oltmann isn't a grown up.

Not when he called for Governor Polis, State Clerk and Recorder Jena Griswold, Colorado Attorney General Phil Weisner and in general all democrats in office to be executed.

This is the hypocrisy of the Republican/MAGA party.

If you listen to that corner of the political ecosystem, the left are these scary, violent, radical people who want death, destruction, and the downfall of America.

I'm independent. I've voted for independents, republicans, and democrats. I'm also a humanist of some stripe, progressive and what I see today disturbs me in the extreme.

Just because an older woman is in State Prison for a crime that was duly charged, tried, and a decision was made by a jury of her peers doesn't mean she is dying in prison. There is such a thing as prison healthcare (although that's an issue, I'm not going into generalities) if the woman is ill. If she's in so much danger from the general prison population, then there is segregated or isolation options to keep her safe. It's not an ideal situation, however I have issues with a federal case and special treatment of a certain other woman and the standards violated from moving her from one situation to another.

What is being asked is the same.

So what's my point?

My point is this: calls for any form of violence, especially for representatives or party members of a specific opposition party, shouldn't be allowed in any form and there are laws against that to begin with. As of this writing, nothing has been said that I can find and no legal issues or actions have been taken. Yet, since the offender belongs or supports MAGA and any behaviors that support the MAGA line/members is condoned, I'm not sure if he'll face any sort of repercussions. However, if anyone considered left leaning did the same, they would be in the news, arrested, and the vilification of the left would be in full swing this morning.

For those of you who support the rule of law, support the Constitution both state and federal levels and versions of the Constitution, support the military, support three co-equal branches of government: I have a call to action.

This action is to put your Congressional members on notice that you want condemnation, investigation, charges based on Law filed, and further for Mr. Oltmann.

This action is also to put your Representatives (of any party) on notice you're demanding impeachment and removal of a publicly unhinged political leader within the Oval Office in addition to that political leader being removed from being de facto leader of the Republican party.

This is a call to action to call those on the Armed Forces Committees in both the Senate and House about Senator Kelly's situation and that what is being called for is not only unconscionable, but illegal for many reasons. One of which is sedition is a broadly defined term and even their actions of any legal changes could be considered such. Remind them of that.

Finally, this is a call to action to let those who say they support the Constitution, and military, to reflect, research, and also comprehend their Civic Duties and ask why the actions that benefit one side of political life are OK and are the other side performing the same actions or not.

I'm adding three phone numbers here. The Federal Congressional Switchboard, House Armed Services and Senate Armed Services offices. Call them, tell them, respectfully and without pushing the same crap the Right does to the Left, that they are out of line and we the People demand better from their tenure in office.

Thank you, have a good day.
